The Working Relationship
- Objective: MU works side by side and amicably
with the Consulting Partner to provide solutions, which meet Client's
business objectives and offer user experience 'perfection' for the
end users.
- Stage of involvement: MU may come in at any stage
of the consulting engagement. It is recommended though that MU is
involved in the early stages right from the product conceptualization
phase right up to product launch.
- Project Management / Account Management: Depending
on who is fronting the project, either MU or the Consulting Partner
will manage the Client. If the Consulting Partner is managing the
Client, MU as its subcontractor would handle the outsourced component
to ensure the highest level of quality. Read more about Usability

- Typical design engagement: MU will handle the User Experience & Usability portions of design project. MU may take on the initial user centred research, design and testing of low and high fidelity prototypes as well as the development of the user experience / usability guidelines (read about User Centred Research & Design and Usability Testing). The Consulting Partner takes care of components related to their core expertise whether it is purely project management, quantitative research and public relations.
