What are eye-tracking studies?

Eye-tracking studies are a type of usability test where user gaze concentrations are recorded in thermal-like "heat zone maps". The heat zone maps track user eye movements. Eye tracking tests make usability testing look really interesting, sophisticated, high-tech and scientific. Eye tracking usability data appears to be more valuable or empirical since it is recorded using technology and gaze capture instruments.

What are biofeedback studies?

Biofeedback studies capture conscious responses users make in evaluating designs. During the capturing period, the users’ real time responses are filtered to designers through the communication process, which contains many inherent problems that are difficult to avoid, such as bias and misinterpretation. Biofeedback has been used by psychologists for years and can provide objective results for website design evaluation.
