How do we gather rich user data?
Due to limitations such as subjectivity and likely personal bias, traditional data gathering techniques like surveys and focus groups cannot fully capture the rich user data such as context of use and emotional triggers.

That is why we employ ethnographic research techniques including contextual inquiry and Rapid Assessment Process (RAP) to most accurately profile your users.

Data gathering techniques

  • Based on direct observation of users, their work environments and mental models.
  • We even capture cultural and motivational factors that may affect or enhance usage.
  • When required, we also simulate product usage with real users before the product is actually built to find out gaps in expectations and actual performance. To make this possible, we create product prototypes and realistic usage scenarios - complete with environmental factors and possible motivators and interruptions.

Translating research to innovative design specifications
The data gathered about users through above techniques is rich and comprehensive. It becomes a foundation for the high level design of your product which we present in the form of screen prototypes.

The prototypes can range from simple paper mock-ups to full scale graphical templates depending on your needs. The prototypes offer a complete view of how the finished product should be designed in terms visual and interaction flows.
