Overview of the Mobile Search Enhancement project is to observe how the search application in a mobile phone is being used by real users, preferably in real use situations by interviewing users to collect their feedback on the user interface of the search.
Client was interested in improving the usability of a search application designed for mobile phones.
To arrive at clear proposals on how to improve the usability of the mobile search application based on real end-user feedback
This study utilizes individual usability testing. The test user is asked to conduct certain tasks with the mobile search application. While the user is conducting those tasks he/she is asked to think aloud. The UE specialists record users’ comments, order of users’ actions and then identifies usability problems. At the end the expert will interview the test user about his/her experiences with the UI on the basis of satisfaction questionnaire that the test user has filled.
