Usability Evaluation of Registry of Societies Electronic System (ROSES)
ROSES www.mha.gov.sg/ros is an online system that provides information about registered societies and offers services for registered societies. New societies can also register themselves on ROSES easily.
The objectives are to improve the overall online user experience such that it is pleasant, easy, and efficient. Specifically, areas that cause difficulty to users are to be identified and highlighted for improvement. The project also seeks to achieve a better understanding of the users’ needs and to increase usage of the ROSES eService in order to reduce the need for offline help.
The MicroUsability team utilised usability techniques to conduct evaluation of the ROSES website. This consisted of getting a broad spectrum of users to complete certain tasks using the ROSES website and observing the users as they performed these tasks. Analysis of the results provided insights into how to improve the usability of the ROSES website.
MicroUsability has helped us identify where improvement can be made to enhance the user experience.
