Usability Enhancement of the Client’s web-based global distribution system for Hajj and Umrah travel.

Background

This integrated hospitality system is used by travel agencies around the world for Hajj and Umrah travel bookings. The problem with the system is that there was a need to fly in travel agents to the Jeddah corporate office for 1 week of training of the use of the use of the system. This turned out to be very costly as flight and accommodation costs had to be covered by the Client.

Objectives

The objective of the project was to reduce the training time for the use of the integrated hospitality system to less than one week.

User Research, Usability Testing and User-Centred Design services were conducted.

The project was able to reduce the training time from one week to one hour through the use of the system.
